Ladislav Britaňák became Vice-President of DSIA

On Tuesday, 11 June 2019, the 23rd General Meeting of the Defence and Security Industry Association (DSIA) was held at the University of Defence Club in Brno. This association unites 108 significant Czech manufacturers and exporters from the defence and security industry.

The General Meeting was attended by a number of important guests, amongst them was the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry and Trade, Karel Havlíček. Other notable guests included the Chairman of the Committee on Security of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Radek Koten; the Deputy Minister of Defence, Filip Říha, and Brigadier General František Ridzák, representing the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces. During the General Meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry and Trade, Karel Havlíček, and the Chairman of the DSIA, Jiří Hynek, signed an Agreement on Cooperation between the DSIA and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The key item of the formal part of the Meeting was the election of the new DSIA leadership for a further period of four years, that is the President and six Vice-Presidents. Jiří Hynek was re-elected as the President. The President and Chairman of the Board of Česká zbrojovka, a.s., Ladislav Britaňák, was elected a Vice-President. Congratulations!
