Investments in Arkansas

In April of this year, the Česká zbrojovka Group took another step towards its strategic goal of expanding its operations in the United States. The subsidiary CZ-USA and Arkansas representatives negotiated the conditions for the construction of a modern plant in Little Rock. This means that CZ-USA will move from Kansas to Little Rock, Arkansas.

We are pleased that we were able to reach an agreement with the state of Arkansas on the construction of a new plant for firearms production and assembly. The aim of this investment is to build on the CZ brand, increase its share on the US civilian market and also penetrate the US military and law enforcement market, which is very well protected by the US via the so-called Buy-American Act,” said Lubomír Kovařík, President of the Česká zbrojovka Group. "We are honoured that the world-renowned CZ brand has chosen Arkansas to be its home,” said Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson.

CZ-USA has been operating on the US market since 1997 as an exclusive importer of firearms manufactured by Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod. CZ-USA with its 120 employees focuses not only on the import of firearms but also on its own production. In addition to the traditional production of Colt 1911 under its own brand Dan Wesson, last year it started producing the CZ P-10 pistol its own factory in Kansas City, Kansas.

We have a lot of work ahead of us,” said Lubomír Kovařík. “As part of the first phase of the project, we are going to create 320 jobs in Little Rock. Within six years, 560 employees are expected to work at the plant and the group’s total investment will reach up to $ 90 million.
