CZ Shooting Team wins 10 medals at the Extreme Euro Open 2022
Members of the CZ Shooting Team performed extremely well at the Extreme Euro Open, which took place from 18 to 26 June 2022 at the IPSC Znojmo shooting range in the city of Hodonice, Czech Republic.
The Extreme Euro Open is a practical shooting competition that’s in accordance with IPSC Level III matches. It is one of the biggest and most difficult competitions of the shooting season. Held on an annual basis, it always attracts many competitors from around the world. This year’s event was no different. A total of 1,032 competitors from 52 countries flocked to the IPSC Znojmo shooting range in the Czech Republic, which is located near the city of Hodonice. Most competitors were from Italy, followed by the Czech Republic and the Philippines.
A total of 30 well-planned shooting stages were prepared for participants, which required at least 600 fast shots from each competitor.
Shooters that wore the colors of the Ceska zbrojovka (CZ) factory team put on amazing performances that resulted in them taking home a total of ten medals.
In the STANDARD division, members of the CZ Shooting Team dominated all podiums. Filipino Kahlil Adrian Viray came in first place, followed by Josef Rakusan in second and Argentine Gaston Quindi Vallerga in third. Another CZ Shooting Team member, Zdenek Liehne, finished close behind in fourth.
CZ Shooting Team members were also successful in the PRODUCTION division, where they secured all medals. Frenchman Eric Grauffel got the gold, the Czech Republic’s Michal Stepan took home the silver and Argentinian German Romitelli won the bronze. Finishing in fourth was Serbian shooter Ljubisa Momcilovic, who also won the Senior category in the PRODUCTION division. And in the PRODUCTION OPTICS division, Germany's Rolf Reich came out first in the Super Senior category.
In the OPEN division, Czech CZ team member Robin Sebo took home the bronze medal, thanks to an excellent shooting performance that included a thrilling battle with other competitors. He was narrowly beaten by Spain's Jorge Ballesteros, who finished in first place, and France's Emile Obriot, who came in second. In the OPEN division Lady category, the gold medal went to the Czech Republic’s Martina Sera.
