Česká zbrojovka supports a running race in Šumice

Česká zbrojovka is going to support the 2nd annual race called “Běh pro Život” (Race for Life) aka “Šumické boty” (Šumice Shoes), which is associated with charitable activities in cooperation with the KRTEK children’s oncology endowment fund. The aim of this year’s event is to financially help the family of a two-and-a-half year old girl from Uherský Brod, who underwent a brain tumour treatment. The collected money will be used for her rehabilitation care.

“We decided to support various activities this year that are beneficial for our region,” says Ladislav Koníček, HR and Administrative Manager of Česká zbrojovka. “We focus mainly on the wider vicinity of Uherský Brod, where most of our employees come from. We support culture as well as sport, both competitive and recreational. In the case of this race, we also appreciate its charity purpose.”

The running race around Šumice will take place on 1 September 2018. Competitors can choose from three race tracks – 3 km (so-called walking track), 10 km and newly also 20 km (so-called half-marathon).

The proceeds of the event will be used to support the care of the oncologically ill child. Competitors as well as visitors of the event have the possibility to register in the Marrow Donors Registry.
