Orange - a line of sport pistols

The primary focus of Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod is a large scale serial production. Every year, this modern firearms manufacturer based in Southeast Moravia ships tens of thousands of pistols, rifles, rimfire rifles and air rifles to customers all over the world. Recently, there has been a considerable increase in the manufacture of automatic firearms for the service market. In addition, CZ also deals with the development and manufacture of various specials for sport shooting in considerably smaller volumes.

Regarding pistols, the tradition goes back to the 1990’s, when due to the increasing popularity of IPSC shooting events, the company management gave the green light for the manufacture of the first models for that purpose, which were based on the timeless bestseller, the CZ 75. Even then, it was pretty clear what great promotional potential this attractive sports event had.

Anybody who is even slightly interested in IPSC shooting is well aware of the fact that firearms and shooters from CZ managed to get among the top in the world as early as the late 1990’s and have not fallen from this level since. Their success is evidenced not only by several world championship titles but also by a cursory glance at any result sheet of any major international event.

While the most popular Production Division has long been ruled by the phenomenal CZ 75 SP-01 SHADOW which is based directly on the standard CZ 75, the prestigious Open Division (aptly described as the “Formula 1” of IPSC) has seen an increased popularity of the CZ 75 TS CZECHMATE.

This model is the result of several years of development, which followed after the company’s shooters took part in competitions with customised CZ pistols that used serially produced parts. The best results were achieved by weapons using the frame of a popular sport model, the CZ 75 TACTICAL SPORTS. And because success has come hand in hand with an increase in demand, at the end of the first millennial decade, the company made a decision to develop a new model. It was to be based on the Tactical as well as drawing on the experience of the factory shooters, and it was to have some adjustable elements. To put it simply, it was to be a weapon intended to bring top sport performances while being available “off the shelf”.

Today, there are two models, both available with orange pistol grips that cannot be purchased for any other model from CZ’s production.
