The CZ brand triumphs at the Easter IPSC event in Australia

Between 14th and 17th of April 2017, while people in the Czech Republic were enjoying a long Easter weekend, members of the CZ Shooting Team were taking part in the IPSC Australia 2017 Handgun Championships. Every single one of our shooters did extremely well with their CZ weapons!

This year, the Australian IPSC Championships were held in Perth, at the Pine Valley Pistol Club, the largest Australian shooting range catering for this type of dynamic sport shooting. The shooters competed in 18 really challenging shooting situations, so much so that each shooter fired at least 329 shots.

Every day, the participants arrived at 8am and didn’t finish until 6pm. All CZ shooters coped with this long, difficult and gruelling schedule exceptionally well.

Robin Šebo triumphed in the Production division with more than a 10% lead on Maria Gushchina, also shooting in CZ colours, and more than 15% on the third place, occupied by another member of the international CZ Shooting team, the Australian Paul Hagiantoniou. All three won their respective medals with the CZ Shadow 2 sport pistol. Maria’s performance also earned her gold in the Production Lady division.

The CZ Shadow 2 sport pistol represents the next generation of the legendary CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow. The weapon was developed in cooperation with the elite IPSC shooters of the CZ team with the view of significantly improving the speed and accuracy of shooting. Using state-of-the-art equipment, the company managed to produce a pistol which further pushes the limits of IPSC sport shooting. With the CZ Shadow 2, the CZ shooting team have already managed to win several coveted events, in some cases leaving their rivals behind by more than 10%.

The main sponsors of this year’s Australian IPSC Championships included Česká zbrojovka a.s. and its Australian distributor, the PBA Imports. Many thanks to the organizers for their excellent work, and to all the participants for creating a lovely atmosphere during the event.
