Petr Znamenáček and Michal Štěpán confirmed in Greece their outstanding performance. They successfully entered into the new shooting season with absolute victory in their respective divisions.
The Easter weekend saw at the shooting range near Athens one of the first IPSC races held this year. Sport shooting according to the IPSC rules enjoys great popularity in Greece. It is no coincidence that it was right here, on the island of Rhodos, where we saw IPSC World Shoot 2011. Even then this race was attended by the Czech shooters and the most valuable metal along with the title of the World Champion in the Modified Division was won by Zdeněk Heneš.
Česká zbrojovka factory team was now represented by Michal Štěpán in Production Division and Petr Znamenáček in Standard Division. And even though this event is much smaller with only regional significance, our factory shooters represented us really well. In the race with tradition spanning now 10 years 177 shooters competed at 14 shooting stages. Both Petr Znamenáček with the CZ 75 TS ORANGE pistol and Michal Štěpán with the CZ 75 SP-01 SHADOW fully dominated in both divisions and won a victory right away at their first competition of the season.
For Michal this was one of the last competitions using above mentioned pistol. In the following races we will see him with the CZ SHADOW 2 model, which was approved for Production Division with effect from 1st April 2016. We wish him every success with a new handgun and we are convinced that the CZ SHADOW 2 will be an instrument, which will help to achieve even better results.
Česká zbrojovka wants to express its thanks to OAPS and ATHLOS shooting clubs for preparation and excellent organization of this competition.
