Successful Hungarian competition MSF OPEN and shining moment for Česká zbrojovka at the USA Championship

The last week was once again devoted to the practical shooting event under the rules of IPSC. Another prestigious race was this time hosted by the Hungarian town Debrecen. We may say that as in all previous events also in MSF OPEN the shooters of the Team CZ Shooting scored and this year they reign the international shooting scene. Shooters of the Team CZ Shooting found no obstacle even in the fact that the biggest stars were missing as they are on their way to the AustralAsian Practical Shooting Championship in the Philippines. Moreover, the firearms made by Česká zbrojovka achieved extraordinary success also in the USA Championship.

At the American IPSC Championship we have seen victory in the PRODUCTION Division of the shooter competing for the Team CZ-USA, Mr. Matthew Mink. Matt shoots with the CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow pistol made in Uherský Brod and in this demanding race he managed to defeat a whole pleiad of excellent shooters representing major world producers such as S&W, Glock or SIG. This is really an outstanding sporting success of Czech handguns, which has so far been represented on the American continent by another member of the Team CZ-USA, American national Mr. Angus Hobdell.

The Hungarian MSF OPEN was ruled by shooters in sporting outfits of Česká zbrojovka, who likewise in the PRODUCTION Division occupied all three medal positions. The gold one was contested by the Serbian representative Ljubiša Momčilovič, the second was won by Miroslav Zapletal, and the third by Marián Vyšný. It is certainly worth to mention that all three were shooting with factory made CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow pistol. In the OPEN Division the second place has been won by Petr Pijáček, who finished fast behind Saul Kirsch from Israel. Only one position meant missing winners pedestal for the young talent of the Team CZ Shooting, Mr. Robin Šeba.

However, Adam Tyc, Martin Kameníček and other premier shooters of the Team CZ Shooting were at the MSF OPEN missing, since they left for the AustralAsian Championship, which is in this year hosted by the Philippines. The Championship will take place this weekend at the former U.S. military base Clark (about 80 km from Manila) and a strong international representation promises a very exciting matches.
