The IPSC Competition for Word Medals Started in Rhodes

Following the opening ceremony in the beautiful scenario of the full stadium within the Rhodes coliseum, the main competition of the 16th IPSC World Championship has started in the Greek island of Rhodes. The competition hosts the total of 1,380 shooters from 64 different countries. The ambition to compete for the top prize really thrives among the members of Shooting Team from Česká Zbrojovka, who are not only members to the Czech team, yet also to Slovakian, Hungarian, Serbian and American teams as well.

During the last week, there were already two shooters from Česká Zbrojovka practicing at the Kalamonas Shooting Range within the preliminary competition. DM. Miroslav Kameníček and Miroslav Havlíček (both in the Open Division), who could not get any “spare space” in the main competition, showed excellent shooting performance and will be awaiting the outcome of their competitors´ efforts in the main competition.

The top IPSC competition with 30 shooting stages and very creative design (the shooting stages were designed by the French author, Mr. Alain Joly ) is rated for the total of 500 shots in the Open Division and will involve Martin Kameníček, Petr Pijáček, Robin Šebo and the junior - Martina Šerá. As far as the Standard Division is concerned, the shooting range in Rhodes will see Petr Znamenáček, Zdeněk Liehne and György Batki (Hungary), the Production Division will present Miroslav Zapletal, Ljubiša Momčilovič (Serbia), Marian Vyšný (Slovakia), Andrej Hrnčiarik (Slovakia) and Mathew Mink (Team CZ-USA), Division Modified Zdeněk Heneš (Czech Republic).
