Ljubiša Momčilovič and Martin Kameníček, both shooters of Uherský Brod Shooters Programme, were successful in the Philippines at the three days IPSC World Shoot aptly named P - NOY CUP (President Noy Cup). Initially even the President of the Philippines is to be seen at the start of this race as he is still an active IPSC shooter. Momčilovič was victorious in the Production Division and Kameníček won the second place at the Open Division.
The total of 599 top shooters from the Philippines started in this race and on a special invitation also two shooters from Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod. It should be noted that practical shooting under IPSC rules has in the Philippines immense popularity which can be compared with popularity of football, hockey or tennis here in the Czech Republic. The competition was held at the former U.S. military base Clark, under extremely hot and humid weather with temperatures going over 40°C.
In the Open Division, a member of Česká zbrojovka team, Mr Martin Kameníček with the CZ 75 TS Czechmate pistol won superb 2nd place, and that only less than 5 points behind Filipino shooter Mr Stephen Hinolajes, who ranks among the closest world class. Serbian shooter representing the colours of Česká zbrojovka, Mr Ljubiša Momčilovič, shooting withCZ 75 SP-01 Shadow pistol, even surpassed the placement attained by Martin Kameníček, winning the prestigious Production Division. With this achievement he indirectly confirmed his Austral-Asian domination right in the Lion’s Den, in the Philippines. He even won over the world shooting star Mr Jeufro Lejana, who likewise with the CZ 75 SP-01 model represented Filipino partner of Česká zbrojovka, the Countermeasures company.
