On Tuesday of 26th June the Česká zbrojovka a.s. Company held the General Meeting where it discussed and approved the audited financial results for 2011.
“The preceding year 2011 was for the Company the period of the very strong growth,” said General Manager and Chairman of the Board Ing. Lubomír Kovařík.
The Company revenues grew by 23 % when compared to 2010, achieving value of CZK 2, 095, 189 thousand, generated net profit was CZK 225, 173 thousand, which is an increase of 63 %. Shareholders´ equity grew by 20.1 % achieving value of CZK 903, 885 thousand. “It is gratifying that all departments of the Company contributed to these excellent results thus creating a space for further growth in production of Česká zbrojovka a.s. covering all segments of production, including expansion in investment activities,” said Ing. Lubomír Kovařík. Last year the Company produced almost 180 thousands of weapons. While exports accounted for over 70 % of production. The Company exports to more than 150 countries of the world. The biggest territories outside the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic are traditionally European countries as a whole, then the USA, where our subsidiary, i.e. CZ-USA operates.
Significant in the arms manufacture for the armed forces was successful continuation of supplies for the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic. “These are important for our Company not only for their direct economic impact, but also because Česká zbrojovka a.s. after a quite long interval returns back to the position of the strategic supplier for the armed forces,” underscored the General Manager of Česká zbrojovka. The Company was also awarded with the title of the Innovative Company of 2012 of the Zlín Region, Czech Republic.
Česká zbrojovka in 2011 reached 75 years of its continuous existence and is ranked among traditional and important Czech mechanical engineering enterprises. The Company is also one of the key employers in the Zlín Region. In 2011 the average number of employees exceeded 1 300.
