PRESS RELEASE
Česká zbrojovka supported “Král Šumavy”
(King of the Bohemian Forest)
At the days of 12th and 13th November at the shotgun range in Ústaleč, near the town of Klatovy, we saw a competition named “Král Šumavy“ (King of the Bohemian Forest). This was of course not a race of illegal cross-border trafficking, as the race name could evoke to those not knowing this event, but this is a third year of a competition in the Parkour Sport Shooting (Hunters Parkour). Cup for winning the main competition was awarded to Mr. Pavel Zázvorka. The general sponsor of the competition was Česká zbrojovka a. s.
When you say to shotgun shooters „Parkour with 400 clay pigeons in the middle of November, in the course of two days, at the Bohemian Forest, moreover associated with a night double trap with 50 clay pigeons as an inserted race for the first day end“, such shooter will shook his head in disbelief, as such numbers and conditions are even for trained shooters frankly speaking hard to imagine. But this is the very thing the King of the Bohemian Forest is about. And undoubtedly this is the reason why now already the third year of physically and time
challenging competition enjoyed a great interest among shotguns professionals as well as Parkour´s amateur enthusiasts. And to think that such a demanding race is only for the hemen, it would be wrong. Participating at this marathon were even two hopeful juniors and one
she-junior. However, any age or gender preferences did not take place. Both of these minorities had to go through the same number of clay pigeons of the main competition. And they really do not make it bad.
With one exception the competition was attended by shooters from the Czech Republic only, but regarding firearms, we may say that all major manufacturers of shotguns from the whole world were duly represented. Česká zbrojovka in this respect could not be in no way missing.
And what applies to Česká zbrojovka, then it can be said also about its shooting representatives: František Hondl and Ivo Hilšer.
Česká zbrojovka participated at this competition in a very substantial way. The company was its general sponsor. And during the “time-out” in such a demanding programme of this competition the arms company made an interesting presentation of new hunting firearms.
Presentation was also attended by pertaining products representatives of Zbrojovka Brno brand.
For, Saturday evening, the competition organizers prepared for shooters a small surprise. This was the Sponsors Price drawn from the shooters names placed into urn. The main prize was the Brno 801 hunting shotgun, donated by Česká zbrojovka as a major partner.
