SSC - Novelty in cal. .40 S&W

Recently the customers could see at the counters of our stores a new product made by the American company Dan Wesson Firearms, that is Single Stack Custom model, abbreviated as SSC. It is obvious that this is a variation on the theme of 1911, but with this the similarity with the Pointmans ends. Incidentally those models are the bestsellers of Dan Wesson Firearms.
SSC is, as they say “forty”, that is the handgun chambered in cal. .40 S&W. The sport set-up of this model cannot be overlooked as the front sight is made with fibre optics, adjustable rear sight, ambidextrous safety having enlarged surface and very aesthetically looking relieved trigger blade. Quite unique are also the grip panels used having surface design imitating shark skin. The grips surface is not made too rough, but despite this the grip gives you the feeling of very secure and comfortable hold. This type of surface is well established even with the elite police units in the U.S., and also with the U.S. Armed Forces.
Regarding fit and finish one has to say it is absolutely excellent, as is quite customary for the DW brand. The frame made from the corrosion resistant material features matt sand blasted surface combined with grounding of side surfaces. Small parts are burnished to glossy finish (controls, magazine funnel) or sand blasted (aluminium trigger). Minor parts of inner mechanism are made by companies the names of which have become an institution: Ed Brown, STI and Wolff. The main dimensions of this pistol model are 218x135x36 mm, barrel length is 127 mm, magazine capacity 8 rounds and weight 1088 grams. The DW SSC pistol is uncompromising sport equipment for a favourable price. This handgun will certainly shine at any shooting range and any competition and of course it will also grace you immensely.
