CZ Shooters bring home medals from the 9th Munich Open International Championship in practical shooting

Team CZ Shooting made an excellent start to this year's international shooting season. At the weekend its shooters collected valuable medals at the 9th Munich Open International Championship in IPSC shooting, which was held in Philippsburg in Germany. To Munich headed the entire team of practical shooters of Česká zbrojovka a.s., Uherský Brod. The highest positions achieved were by Martin Kameníček and Marian Vyšný, who won the Munich International Championship in their divisions. Kameníček dominated his Open Division and Vyšný reigned supreme in the Production Division. Other shooters from Team CZ Shooting also garnered valuable medals, with the youngster Robin Šebo placed in a fantastic second place behind his team-mate Martin Kameníček. In doing so, both of them bested one of the world's finest shooters in the Open Division, Israeli Saul Kirsh. Another shooter of Team CZ Shooting, Miroslav Zapletal, also took the second place in the Production Division, just behind Marian Vyšný from Uherský Brod. The fantastic pistol, the CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow, which both of the Production Division shooters utilise, once again confirmed its dominance in the international arena. The current World Champion in the Production Division, Adam Tyc, who is taking it easy this season, was again absent from Team CZ Shooting. Some consolation for the fans of Team CZ Shooting may be the fact that the leading positions in this division were safely occupied by shooters using guns from Česká zbrojovka a.s., Uherský Brod., so the "CZUB Shooting" factor still played a key role once again, despite the absence of Adam.

Also very highly placed in the Open Division among the shooters from Česká zbrojovka a.s. was Petr Pijáček, who finished in the high 4th position. The Open Division shooters of Uherský Brod started this year's season with a great new product, the CZ 75 TS Czechmate pistol with a 9 x 19 Major calibre.

Competing in the Standard Division, the shooters of Team CZ finished just off the podium, with Petr Znamenáček finishing 4th and Zdeněk Liehne placing just behind him in 5th position.

Championship of Munich is one of most prestigious European competitions in practical shooting held under IPSC rules. This traditionally well-organised competition in practical dynamic shooting, held under IPSC rules, was fought out over 16-demanding stages by many of the world's top shooters; amongst these the members of Team CZ Shooting were very far from feeling lost.
