The weekend just elapsed went under action shooting reigns. Shooters of the Team CZ Shooting gave again excellent performance and were registered at scorecards of three contests at the same time. Our shooters scored especially on domestic competitions in Shotgun Championship of the Czech Republic („Sporting Clays“ discipline) and in the Championship of the Czech Republic in the Pistol Shooting according to the IPSC rules. We must also not leave out those good results achieved at the prestigious IPSC International Competition Infinity Euro Open, which was held last weekend in Philippsburg, Germany. The Champion of the Czech Republic in the “hunting shooting demonstration“ (shotgun discipline for sporting clays) won the shooter of the Team CZ Shooting, Mr. František Hondl, by that this shooter followed on the another major success of his colleague in “skeet” Mr. Ivo Hilšler, who prevailed before last weekend at the International Shotgun Memorial of Miloslav Bednařík. Both contestants named achieved their victories thanks to the new models of O/U shotguns of the “Competition“ line manufactured by Brno Rifles. They managed to beat shooters and firearms of far more resonant names. The Championship of the Czech Republic in practical pistol shooting was traditionally dominated by shooters in sporting costumes of Česká zbrojovka and that in all divisions where they entered. The Open Division was won by Martin Kameníček before Miroslav Havlíček and Petr Pijáček, all of them from the Team CZ Shooting. In the Senior Category of the Open Division Mr. Miroslav Kameníček emulated his son. All shooters here named are using the CZ 75 TS Czechmate pistols. The Standard Division was dominated by Petr Znamenáček before Gyorgy Batki and Zdeňek Liehne, all from the Team CZ Shooting, using the CZ 75 Tactical Sports pistols. The Production Division was also won by the member of team originating in Uherský Brod, Mr. Miroslav Zapletal and in the same Division in the Junior Category the gold medal was conquered by Andrej Hrnčiarik. Both shooters named used the CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow pistol. Our shooters of the Team CZ Shooting went directly from the scene of the Czech Republic Championship in Opařany to the venue of the IPSC International Competition Infinity Euro Open, held in Philippsburg, Germany. These top competitors of our Team were - Martin Kameníček (Open Division), Zdeněk Liehne and Petr Znamenáček (both Standard Division) and Miroslav Zapletal (Production Division). None of them was lost in this difficult race. Miroslav Zapletal won the gold medal and Martin Kameníček fought out the bronze, when leaving behind such international stars as Saul Kirsh from Israel and Chris Tilley from the USA. Mr. Kameníček was conquered only by the World Champion Mr. Eric Grauffel from France and by another shooter of the World „threesome“, Mr. George Balesteros from Spain. In the Standard Division we have seen a great performance presented by young Zdeněk Liehne, who had made it to 6. place. This time we have experienced a disappointment as we were not expecting 8. place of Petr Znamenáček, the fourth man at the last World Championship.
