The event “A Week with Česká zbrojovka in Liberec” took place in the indoor multifunction tunnel shooting-range in the Tipsport Arena in Liberec from the 16th to 22nd of January 2012. The shooting-range, which is operated and managed by Alexandr Vrága, has separate 25 m, 50 m and 100 m sections, a laser projection shooting-range with the possibility of live shooting and a laser shooting-range in the club room. There was plenty of room for testing borrowed handguns – all of the sections were dedicated to live shooting.
During the entire week, each visitor could test arms borrowed by Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod for an attractive price. For “pistol-lovers”, 9 handguns were prepared. Visitors could test e.g. the subcompact pistol Rami 2075, or the CZ 75 P 07 Duty, Shadow and Tactical, or a Dan Wesson pistol from the production of Česká zbrojovka’s subsidiary. Thanks to the natural firm grip, ease of handling and longer barrel, even people who shoot for the first time have good results with this weapon. Thus Dan Wesson is quickly gaining popularity among all customers. A very interesting testing offer was the short tactical assault weapon, the CZ SCORPION EVO S1 in 9 mm Luger calibre.
Even those who did not have a gun license or experience with shooting, could try shooting with a fire arm selected from the presented assortment of ČZ under the supervision of an experienced instructor.
On Thursday 19.1.2012, a presentation of an assortment of fire arms took place under the leadership of the Product Manager of Česká zbrojovka a.s. Under his supervision, visitors could test shooting the CZ 805 BREN, cal. 5.56 x 45 NATO.
If there were people hesitant among visitors in terms of what weapon to purchase, then during this event they had the chance to try out a specific weapon they had already pre-selected in their minds, or test a whole range of offered guns before they decide on what to buy in the end. Naturally, even those shooters were welcome who were not considering the purchase of a new weapon and who just came to shoot and test guns that Česká zbrojovka is currently manufacturing and selling through our shooting-range.
This event was held in cooperation with Česká zbrojovka for the very first time and was very successful – you could see not only well-known faces of loyal clients at gun posts, but also new clients which the event had attracted. Even fearless representatives of the fair sex were present. Enthusiastic police officers of the Liberec City Police and even the Czech Police, and prison guard officers of the Remand Prison in Liberec attended the event. According to the words of armed forces members, the 20% discount on Česká zbrojovka’s assortment is very attractive. For example, one of our visitors tested the CZ SCORPION EVO S1 in 9 mm Luger calibre, intended for the civil market. After his experience from shooting with this gun, he said he had to purchase it immediately from Česká zbrojovka under the convenient conditions for armed forces. If he had not had the opportunity to test the weapon, he would have hesitated in buying it.
Since our arms and ammunition store has been opened in connection to the shooting-range, plus on the basis of this event that was held, we and the visitors have come to the conclusion that before anyone buys any sort of a weapon, it is not enough just to see it on the store counter. What’s attractive and a huge advantage when purchasing a fire arm is that you can shoot with it, try handling it, see how it fits, or how it reacts to a shot. Therefore, we would like to offer this possibility to customers before purchasing a weapon thanks to the convenient connection of an arms store to a shooting-range. A confirmation of this theory is the already mentioned case of the visitor, who based on his shooting experience ended up buying the CZ SCORPION EVO S1. At present we are already in the midst of talks with Česká zbrojovka on the permanent assortment of their weapons to be borrowed at the shooting-range.
Moreover, in cooperation with Česká zbrojovka and Meopta Přerov we will be holding a demonstration of long guns equipped with Česká zbrojovka mountings and Meopty Přerov optics in April 2012. All in a single common calibre of .233 Remington or .308 Winchester.
