The shooters of Active Reserves of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic really spare no efforts. In September they took part in the shooting competition named Mlha 2011 (Fog 2011). Although 1st and 2nd place was won by the teams from Municipal Police of Mníšek pod Brdy, Czech Republic and 3rd place was achieved by the team of Juniors, nevertheless in competition with teams coming from Germany, Denmark, and South Africa they stand one’s ground.
The greater the success was recorded in November at the Shooting Championship held in Poznan, Poland, where they achieved 1st place in overall evaluation and 1st place in the foreign teams category. Among strong international competition they defeated teams from Poland, Russia, Germany and Albania. At both of these competitions the shooters from the Active Reserves were using handguns made by Česká zbrojovka, specifically pistols of Duty and Phantom models. It have to be said that the pistol the team used for such achievements were actually borrowed from the SOG Defence s.r.o. company.

It is also interesting to note the plans for the next year. The Active Reserves would like to attend, among others, the Shooting Competition in Rammstein, Germany and again in Poznan, Poland and maybe even in Russia’s Kaliningrad. The plan includes organizing of the 2nd year of Mlha 2012 shooting competition. They would like to use this occasion for presentation of the new submachine gun, i.e. the Scorpion EVO 3, and as case may be even the CZ 805 BREN assault rifle.
