QUESTIONS FOR RENATA LANGMANNOVÁ

You have become the visible face of Česká zbrojovka. Could you provide us with a brief version of your curriculum vitae?

I was born on the 16th August 1986 in the sign of Leo - this is why I am both purposeful and temperamental. I grew up with my parents and my brother in Ivanovice na Hané, where I finished my elementary schooling. I then successfully graduated from the Secondary School in Vyškov – the School of Business and, following the wishes of my mother, I entered the Faculty of Education in Olomouc. In 2006 came a turning point in my life. I won the prestigious Czech Miss beauty contest and in the same year I represented the Czech Republic in the Miss Universe contest. These life experiences have enabled me to pursue the interests that I've always enjoyed. Currently I'm working as a model and this means that I travel around the world and encounter new people and cultures. I study at the Police Academy in Prague, where last year I successfully graduated with a Bachelor Degree. I actively cooperate with such charitable associations and organisations as the Slunce dětem Association, the Tereza Maxová Foundation and Kapka naděje. My other activities include co-organising the Modelling Camp RL project. This is a one-week course for new models, to whom I try to pass on my experience from many years of modelling.

When you participated in the Czech Miss contest, did the other contestants not look somewhat askance at you? Meaning because of your studying at the Police Academy and your relationship to guns.

During that time I was a student of the Faculty of Education and I didn't get involved with weapons till somewhat later.

Do you remember at what point in your life you first held a gun and fired it? And what kind of gun it was?

Even as a child I was shooting with my grandfather in the garden with an air-rifle , but I did not hold a proper gun in my hands until my friends from school took me to the shooting range. Then it was the CZ 75 D COMPACT. The first shot was obviously very intense, as it is for everyone. But I knew immediately that I wanted to learn how to shoot properly. I have a special relationship with guns. I feel a tremendous respect for them, while at the same time they stir up the adrenaline in me.

As the face of Česká zbrojovka you have been photographed with a number of different weapons. Which one did you feel closest to or interested you the most?

I like short arms, so my personal favourite is the Shadow. 

Have you decided yet to buy a gun from Česká zbrojovka? If so, which one did you choose?

I chose the CZ 75 D COMPACT.

Do you have during your busy time to go to shoot at the range? What result you have reached?

Because of my busy schedule I unfortunately get to the shooting range only once in a while. But I'm constantly trying to improve...

Right on target when shooting is 10. What is or what you would such a "ten" in your life?

I have more goals of life... The closest in the next year is to get a master's degree.
