Success of CZ Shooting Team from Vancouver to Zvolen

There were two weekends in August when members of the CZ Shooting Team and arms produced by Česká Zbrojovka scored once again. Whether one refers to the International Championship in Vancouver, Canada, the Shotgun Grand Prix in Brno or the Czech Super League in Hodonice, as well as the International IPSC Championship in Zvolen, Slovakia.

The shooting range in Vancouver saw the excellent results of Martin Kameníček in the Open Division (using the CZ 75 TS Czechmate pistol), who won the category. Another member of the CZ Shooting Team, Petr Znamenáček (using the CZ 75 TS pistol) placed third in the Standard Division. The absolute success of the CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow then came in the Production Division. This pistol was shot by Jean Philippe Drolet (1st place), Robert Engh (2nd place) and Nick King (3rd place), all members of the Canada Team.

The Czech Super League with practical pistol shooting hosted competitors from 12 European countries and continued with another match at the shooting range in Hodonice, close to Znojmo. The skills and abilities of all competitors were tested in demanding shooting stages as well as by the very hot weather. The very good and premium quality competition brought very good results by the members of the CZ Shooting Team as usual.
The Open Division was dominated by Robin Šebo, followed by Petr Pijáček (both shooting the CZ 75 TS Czechmate pistol). The Standard Division was mastered by the Hungarian competitor, Gyorgi Batki, before Zdeněk Liehne (both shooting the CZ 75 TS pistol). The women’s category in the same division was dominated by Irena Liehne (shooting the CZ 75 TS pistol). The Production Division saw the winner among the members of the CZ Shooting Team, Ljubiša Momčilovič from Serbia, the second place was occupied by Miroslav Zapletal, member of the CZ Shooting Team (both shooting the CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow pistol). The Junior category was dominated by the Slovakian competitor, Andrej Hrnčiarik, member of the International CZ Shooting Team (shooting the CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow pistol). The same pistol then brought excellent success in the Production Division, the Lady Category, to Eva Turková (CZE Team), Snežana Subašič from Serbia (2nd place) and Světlana Nikolaeva from Russia (3rd place).

There were only three members of the CZ Shooting Team core (Šebo, Zapletal, Vyšný) participating at the International IPSC Championship in Zvolen, Slovakia. Those were accompanied by members of the International CZ Shooting Team (Batki from Hungary and Momčilovič from Serbia).
However, not even this “axed” team would be lost among the excellent rivals, mainly in Standard and Production divisions. Well set stages were mastered by Robin Šebo (winner of the Open Division), Gyorgi Batki (1st place in the Standard Division). And the Production Division was absolutely dominated by shooters from Česká Zbrojovka: Marian Vyšný as the winner, followed by Ljubiša Momčilovič and Miroslav Zapletal.

This success could not overshadow the results achieved by shotgun shooters competing at the Grand Prix in Brno. The Trap A discipline saw Miroslav Matějík placed second, Team CZ Shooting/Kometa Brno using the over/under shotgun from Zbrojovka Brno, the "Brno Trap Competition" model. The same place, yet in the Skeet A discipline, was occupied by Ivo Hilšler, Team CZ Shooting/Kometa Brno with his over/under shotgun from Zbrojovka Brno, the "Brno Skeet Competition" model.
