Phosphating is a chemical process by which a layer of phosphates is created on a clean metal surface.
The resulting coating is electrically non-conductive, insoluble in water or in organic solvents and has good adhesion to the basic metal.
It is mainly used for the following applications:
- in combination with preservation as an anti-corrosion protection for steel components
- prior to painting and rubberising for the improvement of adhesion (of paint, rubber..) to the metal surface
- facilitating sliding in the case of the treatment of moving steel machine parts at the point of intervention
Technology:
Basic materials:
- Steel (zinc phosphate)
- Aluminium (iron phosphate)
Limiting parameters:
- Maximum length 1200 mm
- Maximum height 600 mm
- Maximum width 250 mm
- Maximum weight 150 kg
